Anti-Aging Marine Fender Pneumatic Rubber Ship Fender With Chain And Tyre Net
Pneumatic Rubber Ship Fender
Pneumatic rubber ship fender was developed in Japan in 1958. The pneumatic rubber ship fenders should be manufactured according to ISO 17357. The standard defines the corresponding international standards for the materials and testing of these fenders. In most cases, the pneumatic rubber ship fender should be surrounded by tires and chains to provide additional protection. The fender can also be reinforced with rubber ribs(rib fender) without tires and chain mesh (sling fender).
Pneumatic Rubber Ship Fender Classification
According to international pneumatic rubber fenders, pneumatic rubber ship fender systems are divided into two categories. From the appearance, there are two types of pneumatic rubber ship fenders:
1.Initial Pressure 50 Kpa, P50 pneumatic fender
2.Initial Pressure 80 Kpa, P80 pneumatic fender
3.Type I, CTN Type, with chains and tire nets
4.Type II, Sling Type, without chains and tire nets
Pneumatic Rubber Ship Fender Advantage
1. Easy to Install or Replace
Floating on the water makes pneumatic rubber ship fender easy to moored by means of guy rope or chain. When the fender is not in use, it can be transferred easily after releasing the air inside.
2. Advantage Under Severe Weather Conditions
Under normal circumstances, the ship movement caused by high and long-period waves or strong wind will bring repeated compression and shearing forces on the fender and make it easier to be fatigue and damage. However pneumatic rubber ship fender is strong enough to resist severe weather conditions, the reaction force increases slowly compared with solid fender and won’t easily reach the maximum.
3. Shape Conformant at Inclined Compression
Pneumatic rubber ship fender is made of reinforced cord layers of high elasticity and flexibility, which enable it to make it shape conformant at inclined compression during ship-to-ship operations. Compared with solid fender and foam fender, the pneumatic rubber ship fender is easier to distribute the load along the ship's body or berthing structure.
Pneumatic Rubber Ship Fender Structure
① Outer rubber layer
Pneumatic rubber ship fenders are covered by the outer layer made of natural rubber. This rubber compound is strong enough to protect the inner layer and synthetic-cord layer from the damage of external forces and severe weather conditions due to its high elasticity and abrasion resistance.
② Synthetic-tire-cord layer
The Synthetic-tire-cord layer is made of synthetic-tire-cord fabrics, compared with synthetic canvas fabric and synthetic belt fabric, this reinforcement layer performs better in fatigue-resistance and pressure-holding.
③ Inner rubber layer
The inner layer is designed to seal the air inside the fender.
Pneumatic Rubber Ship Fender Application
1.Tankers, gas carriers, and bulk carriers;
2.Fast ferry and aluminum hull vessels;
3.Quick response and emergency fender;
4.As an anti-collision fender used to realign ships with coastal facilities.
