SGS 50Kpa Float Fender for Jetty Hot Sale Natant Rubber Floater
Float Fender
Float fender was developed in Japan in 1958. The fender should be manufactured according to ISO 17357. The standard defines the corresponding international standards for the materials and testing of these fenders. In most cases, the product should be surrounded by tires and chains to provide additional protection.
Float fenders are divided into three types, including sling type, hydro-pneumatic type, and chain and tire net type. Each type plays a critical role in protecting the safety of marine operations.
Fully compliant with the ISO17357 standard, Jerryborg’s fender supplies with a variety of specifications and dimensions to meet customer’s requests and different application conditions.
Float Fender Advantage
1. Absorb more energy and reduce the adverse impact on the ship
2. Adapt to the tide.
3. Safely overload.
4. Lightweight and easy to install.
5. Easy to maintain.
6. Long service life.
7. Different sizes can be customized upon customer's requirements.
Float Fender Structure
① Outer rubber layer
50Kpa float fenders are covered by the outer layer made of natural rubber. This rubber compound is strong enough to protect the inner layer and synthetic-cord layer from the damage of external forces and severe weather conditions due to its high elasticity and abrasion resistance.
② Synthetic-tire-cord layer
The Synthetic-tire-cord layer is made of synthetic-tire-cord fabrics, compared with synthetic canvas fabric and synthetic belt fabric, this reinforcement layer performs better in fatigue-resistance and pressure-holding.
③ Inner rubber layer
The inner layer is designed to seal the air inside the fender.
Float Fender Classification
50Kpa float fenders are produced with two initial pressure ratings, which are pneumatic 50 (P50, initial internal pressure 50kPa) and pneumatic 80 (P80, initial internal pressure 80kPa).
50Kpa float fenders are mainly classified into three types as follows:
1. Float Fender with Chain and Tyre Net
With chain and tire net covering the fender body, the float fender with chain and tyre net can reduce the damage of friction and abrasion caused by direct contact. Therefore it’s widely used in places with complicated and unstable tide variation, such as ship-to-ship(STS) and ship-to-dock(STD) operations. In addition, as for the protective tire, Jerryborg offers four types of tires with different sizes and thicknesses for customers to choose from.
2. Sling Type Float Fender
Sling type float fender will be connected with a guy chain or guy rope with a lifting device on both ends.
3. Hydro Pneumatic Type Float Fender
The 50Kpa float fenders is usually used as a bumper with submarines and other semi-submersible platforms. It can be installed vertically in the water cause it’s filled with air and water inside and equipped with a counterweight.
All these 50Kpa float fenders mentioned above are available usually in black, the color is also customized upon your request. Jerryborg offers fenders with various sizes in diameter ranging from 500mm to 4500mm, length ranging from 1000mm to 9000mm.
