CCS Floating Yokohama Pneumatic Rubber Fender For Boat Protection
What’s Yokohama Pneumatic Rubber Fender ?
Yokohama Pneumatic Rubber Fender was first produced in 1958 by Yokohama Company of Japan, so it is also called Yokohama pneumatic fender.
Yokohama Pneumatic Rubber Fender is an upgraded product of boat fender widely used worldwide, which is filled with high pressure air to withstand berthing impacts. Compared with normal elastic rubber fenders (such as waste tires, solid rubber fenders, etc.), it has high guaranteed energy absorption, low surface impact, combining high abrasion resistance with low friction and quick installation. Since its application, pneumatic rubber fender has been used as a buffer due to its high performance, and it has been widely used in ship-to-ship operation and ship-to-jetty operation.
What’s the Structure of Marine Fender?
CCS marine fender is made from inner rubber, synthetic-tyre-cord layer for reinforcement, outer rubber, flange opening and other metal parts.
The inner rubber is made from natural rubber with rubber content higher than 53%, which ensures the air retention of the pneumatic fender, and it can be used for a long time without obvious pressure relief. It is available in thickness from 2 to 4mm, which is determined according to the requirements of pneumatic rubber fenders of different specifications.
The synthetic-tyre-cord layer for reinforcement is gumming, and it features thick warps, competitive density and high strength. It is bonded with the inner and outer rubber after gumming, and then the three layers are bonded together after being vulcanized at high temperature. Therefore, the cord layer has high strength, abrasion and impact resistance, great thermostability, good adhesion with rubber, aging resistance and easy processing.
